Why I own it
The first movie my family rented from the video store was Back to the Future, and I vividly remember the Delorean rolling out of the back of Doc Brown's Truck. From that moment I wanted one. Little did I know that you had to actually build it to make it look like the car from the movie. My first Delorean I kept stock, but besides the lackluster performance, and propensity to break down, it just didn't feel as cool as the car Marty drove in the movies... I mean the doors don't even make that cool sound when they open. The second Delorean I build was a "close enough" replica, that I actually rebuilt 2 times as more information about the movie car came out. This Delorean Time Machine replica was built using the restored "A Car" as a template, with every piece, part and wire painstakingly researched. The car was purchased in July, and the transformation completed in December.
