Designed and built by legendary customizer George Barris,
best known for building cars for movies, TV shows and Hollywood stars, most
notably the "Batmobile".

Esso of Canada commissioned George Barris to design and buld the ultimate family car as a prize giveaway at Esso gas stations during Canada's 100th birthday celebrations in 1967. From purchasing gas, tires, battereis, etc. customers names were entered into the drawing to win one of these four vehicles.

This is one of four 67-X's built, and one of only 3 left in existence today. The 67-X features futuristic styling with a completely redesigned exterior. The original Oldsmobile Toronado cars were cut in half and stretched 19 inches to accommodate the wrap around back seat, swivel front seat, table, ice chest and dual 8-track stereos. The interior of
this car is 100% original, just as Barris designed and built it in 1967. Body modifications were completed with fiberglass.

A book written on the history of these vehicles can be bought at:

This vehicle has been family owned since 1968
